Last updated: July 30, 2026
Lifeline National Institute™ respects your privacy. This Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using our platform, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us and information gathered automatically as you use our platform.
- Account information: name, email address, and password when you register or sign in.
- Profile and organization data: company name, industry, size, and team member emails you invite through the Enterprise Portal.
- Enrollment and progress data: course progress, completion status, and certification records tied to your account.
- Payment information: billing details processed securely through our payment provider, Stripe. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
- Usage data: pages viewed, features used, device type, and approximate location derived from IP address.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to operate, maintain, and improve the platform, including:
- Creating and managing your account and course enrollments.
- Processing payments and issuing certification records and certificate numbers.
- Providing the Enterprise Portal, including team progress tracking and aggregated reporting.
- Sending service-related emails such as enrollment confirmations, progress reminders, and certification expiry notices.
- Enabling public certificate verification by employers or other parties you authorize.
- Ensuring security, preventing fraud, and complying with legal obligations.
3. Certificate Verification
Lifeline National Institute operates a public verification directory. When you complete a certification, a record containing your name, course, certificate number, issue date, and expiration date may be made searchable so employers and authorized third parties can confirm your credentials. You may request removal of your record from public verification at any time by contacting support.
4. Cookies and Tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies as described in our Cookies Policy. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling them may limit platform functionality.
5. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as described here:
- With service providers who help us operate the platform (such as payment processing via Stripe and email delivery), under appropriate confidentiality obligations.
- With organization administrators for records belonging to their invited team members, limited to progress and certification data relevant to enterprise tracking.
- When required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Lifeline National Institute, our users, or others.
6. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide services, including maintaining certification records for the duration of their validity and any legally required retention period. You may request deletion of your account; certification records may be retained to maintain a verifiable public record.
7. Data Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact support. We will respond within applicable legal timeframes.
9. Children's Privacy
The platform is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact support so we can delete it.
